Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

The real true me I fail to see
Of self, there’s not a trace
Mirrors alone reveal to me
The outline of my face

Too oft in life I have believed
What mirrors had to tell
But fellow man is not deceived
Nor are the gates of hell

Where pride will come before a fall
And lies close Heaven’s door
Now mirror, mirror on the wall
Will tell it’s lies no more

I know the devil’s out to kill
I know his evil wiles
No longer will I do his will
Behind a mask of smiles

For living pools reflect The Light
The pools within God’s eyes
The truth revealed in black and white
Has made this child so wise

My mirror image leaves me cold
With facts no longer sealed
My spirit will the truth unfold
What heart and soul’s revealed

For since I heed God’s voice inside
I’ve no more need to fear
I’m free of death and foolish pride
My way is crystal clear

I’ll be a friend to others now
Who’s secrets wear a veil
Who still before false mirrors bow
Within their self made jail
