Misplaced Poem by Paula Lubbe

Misplaced

I'm back in this place
I've loathed for so long
Stuck, there's no trace
of the joy that has gone

I thought I was safe
Just out of the clear
My hope was misplaced
There's no justice in here

So I crawl back in the pit
That I called home for so long
I don't know how long I'll sit
Or how long I'll hold on

This emptiness engulfs me
All my dreams have disappeared
Oh I know how he loves me
But I just can't stand it here

All the colours have gone
The sun just won't shine
I take back this darkness
And once more, call it mine
