Missing Something Poem by Dean Meredith

Missing Something

I asked myself
What do I have to give?
And the voice inside was silent

So I waited
For an answer
And still there came nothing

I wondered
If the voice had gone
And where it might be

As I've always done
Would it ever come back?

I decided
To be very quiet
In case it was trapped

And hoping
To hear it again
My breathing slowed

Down
I went
And followed
