Your gone today
It seems just like yesterday
I knew you were fading away
Didn't think it would be this soon
Why did it have to take you away?
Couldn't we just have one last day together?
Just the two of us!
You've been there all my life
And then you go and grow weak on me
Not able to get around or do things with each other
The way we did when I was little
I hate that stupid cancer
Why did it have to take your life?
Take you away from me?
Could have just left you here with me
I would take of you
And we could play together
Like we did when I was a child
We used to have so much fun
Now I'm just torn apart
My grades were down at first
My mind was blurred and scarred
Thinking of you... Missing you
Darkness washing over me
We always did things together
I was never alone
I miss you... But I start to wonder
Would you really want me to stop my life?
Pause it on hold... Ignore the rest
I see you... I feel you... Your presence
I start to realize that you are with me
Every step of the way
Helping me to push forward
Turn my grades around
Get my life off pause
The love will always be there
No matter where you are
So if I can send you a message
With just one phrase... It would say
'I LOVE YOU GRANDPA! ! '
