MISTY

'MY NAME IS MISTY
IM ONLY THREE, MY EYES ARE SWOLLEN
I CANNOT SEE
I MUST DO RIGHT I CANT DO WRONG
OR ELSE IM LOCKED UP ALL DAY LONG
WHEN I WAKE UP THE HOUSE IS DARK
MY FOLKS ARE'NT HOME
IM JUST AN EXPERICE JOKE
NO MORE NO LESS THAN SPEED OR COKE
BE QUITE NOW I HEAR THE CAR
MY DAD CAME BACK FROM CHARILES BAR
I HEAR HIM CURES MY NAME
I SQUEZE MYSELF AGAINST THE WALL
IM ON MY BED BUT ITS TOO LATE
HIS FACE HAS TWISTED IN TO HATE
I FEEL PAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN
OH DEAR GOD PLEASE LET IT END
MY NAME IS MISTY
IM ONLY THREE
LAST NIGHT
MY FATHER MURDERED ME'

Poem of the Day

poet Algernon Charles Swinburne

I hid my heart in a nest of roses,
Out of the sun's way, hidden apart;
In a softer bed than the soft white snow's is,
Under the roses I hid my heart.
