Mocking Maybe Poem by Julia Luber

Mocking Maybe

Maybe you were making fun of other people. Mocking something they
took at face vale, with a subtler more complex approach: maybe. Maybe
you were that "high" so to speak. That you were laughing that hard in some
part of yourself. Maybe there is no place for laughter that wicked, intense,
sincere and bold in this world we live in today. Maybe it all became a new
foundation to something there is really no surety towards: like the primordial
soup that eventually became us: in different form, in new fashion. And so
it is time to catch up to yourself, that part of you that some of you thinks
"got carried away." With laughter, too sharp, too high, and too strange.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wondering if an enigmatic experience I had was actually just a form of mocking.
