Moderation Poem by Ibn Ali

Moderation

If you live then love with resentment
This is wisdom
How many drunkards drank
Only to vomit every pleasant gulp that bought them comfort
I hear the boos and jeers, romantics
But to leave the ledge and fall
There's no retort for what's to come
We're not winged creatures
All the flapping can't bolster
Don't give your all
Moderation
Hindsight is good but foresight is better
