MOLASSES

Molasses

Some days are like Molasses
Dark, golden brown colored,
Heavily textured,
The flow of melted lava,
Slowly gliding along the spoon
Into the cup…

…not really sweetening the day.

The title is eye catching. I thought by saying 'some days are like molasses' you would mean some days are 'heavily textured' and slow moving, which you said in fact, but at the end you also said '....not really sweetening the day.'
Aren't molasses sweet, and sweetening too?
I love molasses here in my country particularly in the winter days. (Report) Reply
