Mom

Mom and daughter hand in hand
Bonds so tight it's hard to imagine
What love they have
Holding them together
The love they share is strong as ever
Mother, daughter like leaves to a tree
They stay on until the seasons pass
Sometimes falling onto their own long paths
But somehow building a new life of their own
Growing the same roots they did before

poet Christopher Marlowe

For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;
