Oh! these precious moments,
in the wheel of time, get spent away.
Let me live them a little while longer,
before the body goes down to lay.
The first steps I ever took,
holding my parent’s hand,
a life of togetherness,
love being the only chant.
The day I was betrothed,
led through a flowered trail,
on the altar, stood my beau,
a lifelong companion, I gained.
The first words of my child,
the day she became a bride,
are etched forever in my memory,
expressions my heart will always cite.
With so many moments to cherish,
a life laden with meaning,
every breath is a treasure,
a spirit that is still teeming.
Now here I am on the final peak,
life has been giving and kind,
the time agreed before eternity,
a contract sealed and signed.
Oh! Precious moments
stay with me longer,
I am a living proof of life
that had, all conquered!
