Montefiore Vampires Poem by Victor Hudson

Montefiore Vampires

Montefiore Vampires

When nights descend on Norwood Hills
And peace your heart desires,
From dusk arise on shadow wings
Montefiore vampires.

Sometimes they look like pretty girls
In shapely attires,
But mirrors won't reflect at all
Montefiore vampires.

They wear green
Or it's maroon,
And carry patients' files,
Asleep at noon,
Awake with Moon
Montefiore vampires.

You rest or naught,
They suck your blood,
Then run, like they're on tires,
Through night and day
Persist that way
Montefiore vampires.

Am I alive, or am I dead?
- My blood runs liquid fires,
'You're now one of us' - so said
Montefiore vampires.
