More Pachyderms But Smaller. (Part Two) Poem by Andy Brookes

More Pachyderms But Smaller. (Part Two)

Gnawing rat on ladder, jumping frog diversions
left hooked, right not southpaw
priest devotions, crucifix bent,
knees bruised on penitent flags

giraffe see above ordinary
a seer they say far seeing.
while tiger catches his tale (not tail)
stripped with cunning
elephants fill rooms with donuts

we left it to the mice to sort it out
but then I'm deaf, a mirror to your dumbness.
communicating off key, we are keyed up
piano tuner they say is mad
as the march hair (not hare)
a coiffure too far vanities not fair.
snip, snip, snip, bald statements made.

seems we love to hate each other.
