Morning Silence Poem by David Harris

Morning Silence

In the morning silence
before the world begins to awake
I sit with a cup of coffee
miles into a relaxed state.
Although my eyelids are heavy
it is not sleep I desire,
but only that my mind relax
and thoughts fill my head.
I like to daydream in the silence of myself
before the world catches up with me
in the morning silence.
