morning star, on the horizon
all a thousand times brighter then any spot light.
as your warm glow touches my skin
the tingle of a new days beginning.

as you come to shine above our world,
you give us the serenity of a new life.
for every morning and everyday that you hover above us,
give the world a new day to live,
and another chance to blossom.

you give me strength for me to take on my day,
that may seem as dull as the next
but every morning a reason to get out of bed.
to make the world a better place,
to live in a healthy community with the people of today
tending for the needs of the people of tomorrow

rays of life and contrast so bright,
lessens the closer we get to the night.
but still your light is reflected to the moon,
where without your light there would be life.
and a world without light is not a world in any form.
