Mosquito Poem by Sekyewa Godfrey

Mosquito

Mosquito.

With excitement she comes dancing
Shaking her wrist in perambulation
In absolute mimicry of Princess Diana.
Bellowing Jose Chameleon's kipepewo
Whilst rhythmically pressing her buttocks
On my maiden ear so hard in courtship
Which in reciprocation whispers
"Marry me if you dare"
Following chants and melodies
The anopheles bows and vows
To inaugurate the newly found love
And set the wedding at daybreak.
Envy then grips my soul suddenly
And I furiously slap away the bride
Who goes hurling curses upon my head.
