Today, I woke up with a sweet shrilly whistle of a bird.
I jumped out of the bed and rushed to my balcony.
I was thrilled to see a little bird, just the size of a leaf,
Sitting on my hibiscus flower plant, singing with delight.
The little bird did not take off seeing me. Instead,
She stretched her neck, spread her wings a little,
Then opened her beak to speak to me:
'You know Lady! I am a happy, free bird,
I know that I am protected by the God in heaven.
My wings are strengthened by God's divine hands,
The wings will let me fly and fly,
Never shall it become weary or tired.
I am God's most beautiful creation
With feathers of love and peace.'
So saying, she closed her tiny beak,
Flapped her little wings, and
Flew away from my balcony.
I stood there in silence, so thrilled with the message.
I just remembered that it is my Mother's birthday, today.
She made her transition eighteen years ago.
But her spirit still comes back to me in the form of a bird!
I heard her words: 'Dream and Fly Like A Bird'!
I was, once again, ready to fly into the world of
Dreams, hopes and beautiful poems! ! ! And, certainly,
Blessed by my beautiful and charming Mother
She made her transition eighteen years ago. But her spirit still comes back to me in the form of a bird! .... //.... Amazing composition in remembrance of your loving mother on her birthday who made her transition 18 years ago and the imagery of the bird being a reflection of your mother. Exquisite analogy. Thank you so much, Geeta ji. A very poignant but positive write.
The mother-daughter bond.Even death can't break it. Perfect!
A well crafted opus.... Truly touching and poetic ......5 stars*****...Bernard
