Mother Poem by Mitra Das

Mother

Rating: 5.0

The moment that you died
My heart was torn in two.
With tearful eyes I watched you
And saw you fade away.
So Mom, I just want to say
Have a great Mother's day
I wish, I could be there
I really care
Even though I'm miles away.
In death I love you still
In heart you hold a place
No one else can ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you
But you didn't go alone
Part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.

It broke my heart to lose you But you didn't go alone Part of me went with you, The day God took you home. A highly sensitive, emotion rich poem in the form of an ode to the eternally existing, not so near, not so far mother. Your words bring tears to my orphan eyes, as I have lost my mother too. Thanks Mitra for this lovely poem. 10+++ for it. Subhas

Wonderful tribute is given to mother. Separation with mother is definitely painful. But her love and affection remain in memory ever. This is one excellent poem shared definitely....10

Yes, you are right. Nobody can take the place of a mother. A great tribute to a wonderful mother indeed. May she rest in peace. Thank you for sharing this emotional poem with us: In heart you hold a place No one else can ever fill. Part of me went with you,
