Mother Nature’s Lament Poem by hema thasapalan

Mother Nature’s Lament

On a bright and beautiful morning
Where nature’s at her best
Flowers pn the bloom everywhere
Here and there and so rare
Makes me feel like skipping
And leaving my work to rest
I wish I was like a bird
To feel free to fly in the clean fresh air
Ah! But everything is destroyed within minutes
For all because of a thing called man
My whole world gets clouded
Leaving me no place to breathe
Oh! What are you trying to do?
Ruining the home you live in?
Making everything hard and horrible
Spoiling all the beauty of life
Taking my life bit by bit
Leaving me to wither away slowly and painfully
Like all my plants and creations
