Mourners Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Mourners

Mourners

I received an email
Line of men and women
Stood, mourned their leader
Castro…

I wondered?
No, no way!

I have seen much of this
Heads lowered in tears
Bow and kiss, flowers…

Lenin and Stalin some of them
Mao too, a sample!

Emperors like Japan's
And the kings, like Thailand's…

I cut short; list is long
Hitler too could have been one of them!

Only if? ? ?
