Moving Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Moving

Moving

Sun is out
-shattered and scattered
-are clouds
-in belly of plaid
-a half dead pale sky
-joyfully celebrates freshness
- (If remained)

Rightful was groundhog
-'spring is around.'
-see the orphaned trees
-and bushes
-and the farms? ? ?
-and leaves, seeds
- (that know well)
-the smell
-of breath of the Earth
-its super greatness
-so inhale and exhale
-germinate

The question is blown:
-where are the swallows?
-and birds that immigrate
-butterflies
-and insects
- (none, around!)
-why only the crows?
-and seagulls?

Come trucks
-Two of them
-large, small
-similar are their sign
-'The Movers! '
-and stop at the door
-in front
-of newly-built-house
-buyers are young couple
-they have sold everything
-even car and took loan…

What are we but monsters?
-a group of selfish and nonsense
-empty skin-bags with claims
-'We are best…! '

We seem to have no eye to observe
-the birds are greatest architects
-have no tool but the beak
-and of course the brain
- (we say that is instinct!)
- (selfishly, brainless!)

They collect the items required
-construct their shelters
-all the time is flat
-the floor and the roofs
-square,
-or are round,
-or any to match the
-selected corner or branches

We, the selfish windbag with the tools
-Have the things, factory- prepared
-at the sites assemble the garbage
-pollute and, choke,
-our own poor Mother-Earth…
-shame on us…

Thanks to us the birds and the trees
-are homeless as are the
-Iraqis, Yemenis, Syrians
-and Afghans
-and many others who
-their lands have turned to the
-Test-grounds
-for the arms
-their builders
-their dealers…

What are we humans?
-except for the shameless
-piles of shit!
