Mrs. Bowman The Beekeeper Poem by Cin Sweet

Mrs. Bowman The Beekeeper

Mr. Bowman sits reading the morning news
He's ignoring Mrs. Bowman though she's screaming
She's being chased by an angry mob of honey bees
But all Mr. Bowman does is nibble on his Hobnobs,
sipping his lovely Earl Grey tea

Aren't the Bowmans just so much fun
Throwing garden parties least Mrs. Bowman does
She invites all her blue-haired friends
Mr. Bowman says 'How do you do'
But he can't wait for Mrs. Bowman's parties to end

Mrs. Bowman is running through the garden
Poor thing flailing her arms, kicking her feet
Seems she's gone and taken up beekeeping
Mr. Bowman warned her not to
but he wasted his breath 'cause
Mrs. Bowman knows everything

Aren't the Bowmans just such a gas
Throwing garden parties, well least Mrs. Bowman has
And she invited all her blue-haired friends
Mr. Bowman said 'How do you do'
Then he snuck off, hid out 'til half-past 2

Mrs. Bowman is running down the avenue
Looking rather odd in her mail-order beekeeper suit
Still thinks she's being chased by honey bees
But all that's chasing Mrs. Bowman are some loose screws
neighbors little dog Mickey, and Dr. McVee

Aren't the Bowmans just such a trip
Throwing fancy garden parties, well
Mrs. Bowman once did
She invited all her blue haired friends
Mr. Bowmman said 'how do you do loves'
then snuck off with his half-pint
took a little snoozer in the loo.
