Music Poem by Boudhayan Mukherjee

Music

We raise our prayerful palms to the sky
That knows our looks of crumpling dreams
The stones and the sky stir, a new light
Spreads to the sea and the mountains.
From the silent landscape emerges a nantra
Of Rig Veda, peaceful and solemn.
Do you wish to return where angry eyes rule
Do you wish to see the fog that trails your walks
Through a shower scribbling poetry
The long hours of the sun kissing its creations
Your dream-strings flow like a message
Through solitude, our broken faces and time.

Whose hand light your face, whose eyes weave
An instant path to ecstasy? Let us follow these meanings
Softly, treading the dewy grass yet softer
To learn an endless muse of peace and love
The weight of bliss a leaf flying in the breeze
Blue memories of a wave breaking on the sea.
Every wave a different look of lotus eyes
On a snowy white mirror a flame dazzling
Dancing to the tune, impressing a new
Warmth to your words and poetry, unsung.
