My Blue Butterfly Poem by Namita Rani Panda

My Blue Butterfly

Rating: 4.7

With the end of the arduous labour
and the strainful struggle,
leaving its crysalis
my beautiful blue Butterfly
spreads its brilliant blue wings
of interminable love, laughter and joy.

A blue magic it is with the kiss of sunshine,
vivid iridescent bright blue
glistening with glory and beauty,
eagerly embraces endless expanse of liberty,
after rebirth in its maiden flight to transcend another barrier:
to fly beyond the boundless blue as an unbeatable warrior.

There is a biographical novel about Novalis titled BLUE BUTTERFLY. // Also, the poet Richard Berengarten wrote a book titled BLUE BUTTERFLY. In that book, he tells of visiting the site of a WWII atrocity in Kragujevac (former Yugoslavia) , a blue butterfly landed on his forefinger.

Wonderful to think that a little creature embraces the expanse of liberty, but I feel it in the moment of reading your poem, because such a creature is magnificent in its smallness. You are not alone in having a special feeling for a blue butterfly. The poet Novalis was enchanted by one.
