My Blue Piano

I have a piano that my dad
had bought.
I kept it in my toy box.
I would bring it to play.
Beyound my window.

Beyound my window,
is the alley with fence.
That seperate us from
the Cortez

There sitting with the sun
so high.
Playing my piano with no music to play.
I wasn't a piano playist
but I tried.

With the Cortez's creature
Whinning back and forth.
I play through the day.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
