My Body And Flesh Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

My Body And Flesh

Our bodies and flesh are like the clothes we wear
Although a body could weigh a hundred pounds or more
It will shrink or expand with all the food it will store
It's amazing how the structure of the human body was made
A chiseled body with a beautiful face
Just won the pageant as the second place
The wonder and beauty of God's creation
His hands that create with magic and perfection
But for me a human body have a lesser value
I could only appreciate the flesh in the next seventy years
But less than that to spend it with my family and peers
I believe my entity only occupies less than ten percent of the body
My tiny soul that operates the human body like a machinery
Like a pilot that flies his bomber with courage and bravery
The human body that you value and spoil
With all that's evil you lie, rob and steal
You do all of this to satisfy your flesh and what you feel
