My Bright Crocus Poem by Paul Reed

My Bright Crocus

Winter has taken it's toll
With damp and cold all around
The snowman's eyes of coal
Lie lonely on the ground;

But, unseen and unknown
Hidden away from view
A crocus, all on it's own
Of delicate purple hue

Chose this sunny morn
To gently come into sight
And hope in me was born
That things would be alright.
