My Child Poem by David Boyce

My Child

My Child

My child is now without a mother
Please take care of her my love
I will watch over both of you
From this peaceful place above

I will be there when she marries
And you walk her down the aisle
You will see me in a glimmering light
Say thanks and take a smile

Be patient she's a teenager
With hormones everywhere
Because she may rant and rave
Doesn't mean that she don't care

I will be there beside her
To help her through her stresses
I'll help her choose her make up
And even pick her dresses

My child is now without a mother
I may not be there to see
But when she thinks out for me
Beside her I will be
