My Cousin Kristy Poem by kelly mchardy

My Cousin Kristy

I am collecting my memories deep inside

But with you today a little il confide

Kirsty and I shared many a fight

Then wed make up and sit and giggle though the night

Both of us born an only child a common factor

As kids wed run wild

Holidays together we spent over the years

The fun and laughter often ending in tears

What im trying to say in these words that I whisper

Is kirsty to me you were more like a sister

Fierce and funny beautiful and brave

These memories of you in my heart I will save

I was so proud of you babe you found your way

Though it’s a different road you travel today

A rising talent everyone said you would be

But Kristy you will always be a star to me

Love you
