My Dad Poem by Hayley K...

My Dad

My dad,
nuff said.
His crazy self,
always wound a little too tight
The times that you least expect it,
he attacks!
Arms flailing, tongue sticking out,
with eyes wide and fixed on you.
His vocal chords reaching variances,
no one knew possible.
His mind,
ummmm what?
You can never understand the method,
to that madness.
So please don't even try.
If you say something quick witted,
he'll come back so fast,
your mind will feel like a snail.
When a boy comes over,
god forbid.
He'll look at him and think,
'this is gonna be fun! '
He lives for embarrassing,
his 15 year old daughter.
But he does it in such a funny twist,
you'd think he's a top,
spinning in the seat of a rocking chair,
that he's fallen completely out of,
and landed hard on his head.
He never fails to bring humor to the humorous,
or creep out people in the same aisle as him at the store.
People frequently question my sanity,
as I'm laughing hysterically and bouncing off the walls.
I tell them,
I get it from my dad.
They smile and smirk as they say,
that explains SO much!
