My Father Phoned Today. Poem by Sean Joyce

My Father Phoned Today.

My Father phoned today.
Scary strange since he is dead.

I didn’t answer ‘cos I guessed
He would have called to say:
I’m sorry

Then I found he'd left a message:
In which he simply said:

'It was always, always, all your fault'
