My Fear Poem by Thomas Plotz

My Fear

I saw my son; OK my step son, still my son
But I forgot their name

It's not the same
Going up to them
In front of their friends;

It hurts me so, and them

One day ALZ will win, and

I will lose, who I am

It's all about family's love, and keeping memories
Without your memories,

You lose who you are

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
They were sitting on the left hand side of the square restaurant, with teammates. Not from the same city as me. Makes me upset to see someone I know, but can't say where I know them from or even their name.
