My Fear Of Valentine's Day Poem by alex manson

My Fear Of Valentine's Day

Today is that day
And I'm constantly reminded
I understand I can't get away
But I wish I was blinded.
In every direction I see
The kissing, the smiling, the roses, and the candy
It follows me
But I still try to be dandy.
Yes I know THAT love won't last
Because that love isn't real
It'll simply fall into the pit of past
It was never love, just something you think you feel.
So buy that expensive jewelry
And love your love with all you can
But if it's not true then you'll be lonely
It'll all hit the fan.
But if it tis true
Then lucky you
You won't have to suffer in observation
For love really has no need for conservation
There's no one to take me away
I'll have to face my fear of Valentine's Day.
