Finally one day, I caught up with me.
I'd misplaced my future, and where I should be
So many things to do, so much left to see
I realized one day, I'd forgotten about me
Life isn't the way it's supposed to be
The way it is sometimes makes you set your love free
When all the time in your heart, you wish it were you
So many years together we've seen through
For every harsh word, there were kind ones, too
Faithfully watching my love change as time passed, it grew
So my heart continues to love you, this I know is true
When I finally found my future, I looked up & saw
It was YOU.
