My God, You Heard Me

You heard my God my prayer above
The songs in tears I’d sing
You’ve raised this wretch through perfect love
To serve my Lord and King

You took my shame made me Your child
Gave peace to heart and soul
Through Jesus Lord I’m reconciled
And by Your grace made whole

Nothing’s too hard for God to do
Creation’s in Your hand
Through Jesus’ blood now born anew
I’ve hope to walk Your land

The land You promised in Your word
The keys to Heaven’s Door
Through faith I’ve hope from what I’ve heard
To reap as those before

At first I didn’t think You real
Your word was less than true
Even the time I came to kneel
When first I spoke to You

But then my God I felt Your Flame
I felt death’s knife depart
I felt now life was not the same
With Jesus in my heart

But then I though it wouldn’t last
The joy would drift and fail
Then peace would leave as in the past
Exiled in Satan’s jail

Through Christ, I see the devil’s lies
Through Christ God’s Lamb divine
His love has opened wide these eyes
That love that now is mine…
