My Guiding Light Poem by Chris Embrick

My Guiding Light

The sun is not my guiding light
My compass not the moon and stars
To find the light that guides my life
The source is really not that far
I need only look inside my soul
To find my life's directions
The light that flows from Wisdom's lamp
Leads my conscience to perfection
I need but let God take the helm
With faith in Him confide
Through this life and the hereafter
I need no other guide.

The real light that guides us is not the sunshine nor the moonlit, it is inside soul. It brings light of wisdom and leads conscience to perfection. God is the source of wisdom. A beautiful poem with lofty insights. Thanks for sharing.
