Whenever I look at you
I see a reflection of
her in your eyes. I know
you're thinking of her
when my arms are holding you at night.

It seems we're never
alone anymore -
for emotionally you're
with her.
Although you're with me
she's there too -
and in your heart she'll
always come first.

I'm fighting a battle
in which I can't win.
Although you're with me
I know you want her.
To express my pain -
I can't even begin.
For it's more than my
heart that you've hurt.

My chances with you
are dwindling away -
each day we're growing
further apart.
How could you expect me
to stay - when I know
it's her who has your heart.

It's best that we go
on our own separate ways.
In time i'll be okay -
Although I don't know when.
And though my trust in you
has been misplaced -
'My Heart Will Love Once Again.'
