My Illness Poem by Phil Soar

My Illness

Rating: 5.0

I wipe the tears so no-one knows
How deep the mental illness goes
How I'm affected by the guilt
All the pain my thoughts have built
And in the moments I'm immersed
I wish the tears could be reversed
And bring a smile or two to bare
But deep inside, I'm just not there
