My Journey Through Life Poem by Francis Duggan

My Journey Through Life

Far north of here my journey through life began
And by distant hills I grew into a man
But since I'm not a seer why should I pretend
That I know where the journey for me will end
The beauty of Nature I love and enjoy
I first fell in love with her as a young boy
Far north of where I am residing today
By the Boggeragh Ranges a half a World away
Our birth and place of it comes from circumstance
And our gift of life it came to us by chance
Long gone from my prime I am in my life's Fall
The scythe of the reaper awaits me as it awaits all
In this warm Southern Country I am growing old
The place I was born and raised in more wet windy and cold.
