My Kennadi Joe Poem by Heather Perry Heather Perry

My Kennadi Joe

Rating: 1.0

You came out so big
with some hair on your
head it's a girl the
doctor she said.

The sun in my sky
the twinkle in my eye,
my Kennadi Joe so happy
and so spry you
were mommy's wonderful
surprise.

I wish I connected I hate
myself so my Kennadi Joe I
should've never let you go.

You're everything and more
in mommy's eyes
the thumps in my heart
the blood that's inside.

My Kennadi Joe
please never change
your happiness, greatness,
your kind hearted ways.

Come sit on my lap
no matter how old
and I promise to God
I will never let you
go.
