My Last Walk Poem by Paul Warren

My Last Walk

Rating: 5.0

I watched a devil dance
Across the plain in its dusty prance
To look up high towards the sun
Burnt my eyes as it's battle won

The snake slithers and then curled
On a rock like the heat of hell
I was walking towards the coast
Not stopping just wanting the it to end the most

And I had not sighted another soul
As I journeyed on with less control
For the world was lost in a blinding flash
When neither side won as the world gasped.
