My Lonesome Heart Poem by Bill Simmons

My Lonesome Heart

Rating: 5.0

Lonesome heart
Keep me company
As I drown
In memories

You’re all I’ve got
There is nothing left
I know it hurts
We must steady our self

I need you strong
Please don’t fall apart
We’ll make it somehow
My lonesome heart

When the tears they fall
When we reach our end
It will just be you and I
My lonely friend

Sometimes for love
We just have to let go
Even though in giving up
We walk lonesome road

And when we try
To forget and get by
The memories flood in again
And again we cry

Lonesome heart
I need you strong
I know it hurts so
I know its so wrong

Keep me company
Please don’t fall apart
Please try to be strong
My lonesome heart.
