My Lost Love ~~ By Athiei

Darling, oh when I loved you
It felt like a fire spark in the snow
A shine with a red hot glow
With radiance none could withdraw
Your body that thrilled and swayed
My thoughts are refilled and betrayed

Darling, oh when I cared
Love felt like a cure we only knew
With the stars bright, sky blue
Each whisper, pleasure grew
A passion like lovebirds in the lawn
So blind to see I was a pawn
You promised to be here when it dawns
But still swagger with your brawn

Darling, now that I don't feel a thing
Our favorite song, strange it sounds
The place we idolized, different it grounds
A pity on the pals we made
They were fond of what we portrayed
All is but waste
Sweet nothings, memories erased

Darling, now that I am gone
You may accelerate into her embrace
You said a thing in your sleep about her face
Something that you revere with grace
My heart will make it through
For I extol being true
Though the cogitation of it gives me flu

Darling, oh darling
I know I wasn't the lover of the year
But I wish you ecstasy in the near
The affection was what made us dear
Relegate my benevolence to your new lover
I assure not to hover
For what I implore is to rediscover
And I end up stone cold
Lost and alone
Abandoned but grown
