My Love And I Poem by Franklin Spriggs

My Love And I

Rating: 4.0

My thoughts go back to yesterday,
When my love and I enjoyed the day,
Time didn’t matter the world passed us by,
We were so much in love, my love and I.

My love and I walked hand in hand,
We loved those harbor lights and the warmth of the sand,
The ships sailed along in the quiet moon light,
All was Heaven for me and my love that night.

The hours we spent in our warm embrace,
The feel of your hair the softness of your face,
Your hands were so tender the warmth of your touch
All has grown cold for me I loved you so much.

The days are no longer what they used to be,
Ever since my love was taken from me,
The memories still linger on of yesterday,
Of happier moments and brighter days.

Now the time has come for me to go,
Where the peaceful quiet waters flow,
No more my thoughts think of yesterday,
Cause I’m going home to my love today.
