Mundane it seems, the task you undertake,
Yet truly these ventures I cannot perpetuate.
Laying by me you rocked my bed,
Oblivious though I was, my need you met,
Vicarious care you did give unto me,
Indeed you did so, so I'll grow and increase.
Now that I look at all you do and did,
Great woman I'm honoured to be born of thee.
Mornings you rise to ensure we all gleam,
On and on you build us so we'll lead,
These your hands you've used to build a home,
Honestly, I say, you're a blessing to behold,
Earnestly I pray that in health you remain.
Respect and regard I truly have for thee.
My loving mother I truly do love thee,
And this love extends beyond the universe's reach
