My Moon - 2 Poem by Phil Soar

My Moon - 2

When the moon is full it reminds me of home
Even though that's when I feel I'm alone
And the world is'nt mine and it seems I am lost
Perhaps being 'lunar' I must pay the cost

The moon is my sign, my emotional foil
My moods change depending on way I recoil
To the ebb of the tides and the flow of the seas
The moon is my partner, and there just to tease

While others might say that the moon's just a planet
To me, it's my world, and that can't be wrong, can it?
It's part of my body and soul for all time
That wonderful glow in the night is sublime
