My Own Little Space Poem by Kelvin Rush

My Own Little Space

I rent a place where I can hide
With pen and paper by my side
Some place where I can be alone
My own little space to call my own

I rent a place in these horrid times
Immune from all the violent crimes
Some place where I can hide away
My own little space for me to play

I rent a place far away from here
Where no one dare to interfere
Some place where I can be myself
My own little space for inner health

I rent a place to be at peace
To allow the endless noise to cease
Some place where I can rest my head
My own little space to drop down dead
