My Rays Shine Far And Bright
Why her? He said
when hearing of my successes
Why me?
Because the rainbow-colored silk
of celestial weavers
is the fabric of my heart
Because the purple crystal
clustered inside the geode
is the mineral of my mind
Because the jacaranda flowers
that carpets the asphalt road
in late spring
is the world I create
Because the flash of stars
is the twinkle in my eyes
and my rays
shine far and bright
