My Skeleton Self Poem by Averie Richardson

My Skeleton Self

You yell into my face
My skeleton face

No skin to be stained by tears

You grab my bones
My skeleton bones

Shaking me, but all I do is rattle

You say things to me
Things to make me sad
But there is no heart in my skeleton body

But I still feel it in my bones

You left nothing in my body but bones
So why do I still feel it

Why must I feel it in my skeleton body
