My Walk Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

My Walk

You see me walk away,
And do not ask me to return,
To come back to you.
It rained last night,
Heavy rain
I closed the window
To keep it away
The noise I made
Did not wake you
That means
You take me for granted.
Why should I remain
Where love is not alive
And you do not care for me.
A gust of wind
Put out the candle
That I did not light again
I preferred the dark,
That can hide you from me,
With you concealed
I became free to roam,
Once more the wide world,
I had given up for you.
The street I walk is dark again,
It will light up
No sooner, my walk gains pace.
