My Words Are Not Enough Poem by Noah Mullins

My Words Are Not Enough

My adoxography is not enough to lure you
And my words are not enough to cure you
You live life yearning passion
But I'm greedy and my love I ration
The drum in your chest is a dangerous weapon
Use it wisely; They're snakes with a plethora of venom
History repasts itself, you know it could happen
But strap me down and this time I promise I'll stay on the wagon
Can we ride off into the sunset; together?
I will not trade in; you are my most valuable asset; my treasure
My mind is racing, chasing and chasing
Onward down this road, waiting and waiting
For that day I can no longer contain
All these spontaneous urges, but I am to blame
I promise it will change
If you feel we haven't grown estranged
So would you let me fix what I broke
And let me prove what I spoke
Because my adoxography is not enough to lure you
And my words are not enough to cure you
